Senior Pastor - Dr. David Wheat
David joined MBC in September 2007. He earned both his DMin
in Church Growth, Evangelism, and Missions (2006) and his
MDiv in Theology (2000) from the Southern Baptist Theological
Seminary in Louisville, KY. David has served as Senior Pastor
at 3 churches since 1997. Before answering God's call to pastoral
ministry, David, a CPA, enjoyed a successful 17-year career
in accounting management. He is also an alumnus of the University
of Alabama (B.S. Accounting, 1980) and Samford University
(MBA, 1985). David and his wife, Jane, have been married since
1982, and have two children, Kelley Ross (married to Scott
Ross) and Jake. David has a heart for missions, evangelism
and preaching the Word of God. He is committed to the uncompromising
truth of the Gospel message and using creative means to reach
the unsaved. David serves as a volunteer missions coordinator
to Haiti for the Florida Baptist Convention. He also serves as the President of the Pastors Conferences and a member of the Mission Development Council for the Tampa Bay Baptist Association. In addition to preaching, David plays guitar with the worship band in the contemporary worship service. You can contact

Minister to Students - Rev. Greg Anglen
Greg joined the MBC staff in August 2008. He is currently
teaching at Citrus Park Christian School and working on his
MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary through
the Tampa extension. He has a B.S. in Leadership & Ministry
from Trinity College. Greg previously served as Communications
Director at Richland Creek Community Church in N.C. and as
a student ministry intern at Davis Islands Baptist in Tampa.
He also worked as Director of Campus Life with Bay Area Youth
for Christ in Tampa. Greg and his wife, Sarah, have three children,
Olivia, Delilah, and Geoffrey. Greg has a heart for student ministry
and desires to serve the Lord with the utmost of his ability.

Worship Leader (Traditional Services)- Rev. Jim Chancey
Jim joined the MBC staff in 1998. He comes from a long line
of musicians. Jim has served as the worship
leader at various churches over the past 25+ years and is
a former member of the singing group, Spiritual Harmony. Jim and his wife, Carol, have been married
since 1975. They have three children Chris, Doug, and Cozy,
and two grandchildren. Jim is also in the process of
earning his accounting degree at the University of Tampa.
Jim mixes Southern Gospel, classic hymns, and a few praise songs into MBC's 11am and 6pm traditional

Church Secretary - Ann Johnston
Ann began working at MBC is July of 2001. She is the Church
Secretary, Bookkeeper and Office Manager. Ann has been married
to her husband Tom for over 40 years and they have two married
sons and four grandchildren. Although she is a faithful member
of the Salvation Army Church, she delights in the lovely people
she has come to know here at Manhattan Baptist. You can contact

Worship Leader (Contemporary Service)- Richard Felver
Richard began leading the contemporary worship band at MBC in 2009. In addition to his responsibilities at MBC, Richard also works as a Reference and Electronic Services Librarian and Assistant Professor of Library Sciences at Southeastern University in Lakeland, where he just completed his MBA degree with top honors.
